Ingredients:
1 jar (22 oz to 24 oz) of The Great San Saba River Pecan Company Pecan Pie Filling
4 to 5 large eggs (or egg substitute)
4 tablespoons butter or margarine (melted and slightly cooled)
1 unbaked 9-inch deep-dish pie shell OR 2 standard unbaked 9-inch pie shells
OR packaged pie crust mix such as Old School Pie Crust Mix
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C) to allow the custard to set evenly without burning the crust edges.
- Warm the jar in the microwave for about 1 minute with the lid removed so the thick filling pours easily.
- Empty the jar into a large mixing bowl, scraping the sides clean.
- Whisk the eggs and melted butter together in a separate bowl or inside the empty jar.
- Combine everything by stirring the egg and butter mixture into the pecan filling until smooth and glossy.
- Pour the filling into your prepared pie crust(s).
- Bake at 300°F until the center is set (refer to your specific jar lid instructions for precise baking times, typically around 50–60 minutes for a deep-dish pie).
