After years of studying vintage ironware and restoring cookware pieces to their 1890’s 19th century glory, Isaac Mortan hatched the prospect of creating a cast iron cookware line. Inspired by the classic style of vintage pieces, he harnessed modern technology and processes in a lost art of restoring a modern icon - Smithey Ironware was born. 

Partnering with renowned Charleston blacksmith and Robert Thomas in 2018 they expanded into carbon steel cookware.  The resulting cookware is as beautiful as it is functional.
